Jorge
I am a therapist and professor of psychology located in Central Florida. My style as a therapist is a unique blend of structured and organic. From my years as a college professor, I tend to focus on skill development in therapy from approaches including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and the Gottman Method. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), a structured method of working with trauma. Although I can be a structured practitioner, you’ll find me to be warm, compassionate, and easy to connect with, which I attribute to my years as a husband, father, and therapist

As a first-generation Latina, I embrace a multicultural perspective in counseling and provide psychotherapy in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. I have experience working with clients experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and AD/HD.
